A private family service will be held for Bert Ramey.

Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the funeral home.

Bert Ramey, age 82, of Lawton, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in Lawton.  She was born March 11, 1935 in Miami, Oklahoma to Charley F. and Vesta (Verner) Howard.  Mrs. Ramey grew up in Miami and graduated from Miami High School in 1953.  She attended college in Miami.  She married Donald Preston "Rusty" Ramey on August 11, 1954 in Lawton.  He died March 20, 2006.  Mrs. Ramey worked as a secretary at Garfield Elementary School for twenty-eight years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Jerri Mira and her husband Tony, Redondo Beach, California, two grandsons, Chase Mira and his wife Whitney, Phoenix, Arizona and Chad Mira and his wife Michelle, Bismarck, North Dakota and two great grandchildren, Nicholas Mira and Elizabeth Mira.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
