Memorial service for Bernice Monroe will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel.

Bernice Monroe, age 80, of Fletcher, Oklahoma passed away Sunday November 21,2021 in Ardmore Oklahoma. She was born December 29,1940 in Lawton Oklahoma to Paul and Sylvia "Peachy" (Prettyman) Hennessee. As a child Bernice grew up in Lawton and Oklahoma City, later moving back to Lawton where she met her husband of 64 years, Thomas G. Monroe. Thomas and Bernice moved to the Fletcher area in 1978 and made it their home.

Bernice devoted her life to her family. She loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. You could also find her behind her sewing machine or a paint brush in hand while she worked beside Thomas making crafts for local craft shows.

Bernice is survived by her husband, Thomas G. Monroe, two daughters, Connie Ledford and husband Greg of Cement, Oklahoma, and Angie Rowe and husband Jimmy of Dickson, Oklahoma, sister, Nancy King of Lawton Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Preceding Bernice in death are her parents, son, Tommy E. Monroe and daughter, Paula M. Hicks, son-in-law, Greg W. Hicks, and mother and father in law Verna Monroe and Clarence.
