Benny Fox, 82, Lawton passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in Lawton.  He was born May 29, 1936 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Acie Carl and Bennie Lorene (Moss) Fox.  He graduated from Lawton High School in 1954.  He owned Consumers  Savings Club in Lawton.  He never drank, but seemed to enjoy sitting in the club for access to his clientele.  He used to snicker at how many sodas were given to him, and loved his hot coffee.  He seemed content with others since his family does not live here.  He was known around town as the older man with the white cowboy hat.  Benny never met a stranger and always tried to please his acquaintances.  With failing health from Parkinson's and a hip replacement, his health took a toll on his fragile life, even though he never stopped living life to the fullest.  He lost his last trick up his sleeve when he announced he was going to Pam's.  Her door was open and he was welcomed.  When his son needed guidance, he would call Benny for advice.  Benny loved to talk to his son and anyone.  Benny started his ministry at a young age at Five Points Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he loved the Lord dearly.  He attended Cameron University and Oklahoma State University.  He taught high school in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  He earned his Bachelor's of Arts Degree on May 29, 1960.  He earned his Master's of Arts on August 7, 1965 from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

Survivors include his 2 sons, Curt Fox of Wyoming, Carl Fox of Arizona, his sister Karen Dunn of Tulsa, Oklahoma and granddaughter Jamie Enuff of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and his caretaker Pam Ramirez who promised to take care of him and keep him from going to a nursing home.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
