Graveside funeral service for Beate Voegtlin will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2023 in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

The procession to the cemetery will depart the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. on Monday.

Beate Voegtlin died Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 75. She was born December 25, 1947 in Dresden, Germany to Erich and Elsa Margarete (Golles) Zöllner. She spent her formative years in Germany where she completed her education. She married SFC (Retired) David John Voegtlin on July 3, 1968 in Kassel, Germany. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2021.

Beate followed her husband in his military career. In 1979, the Voegtlin family moved to Lawton, where Beate devoted 25 years of her life to the housekeeping department at McMahon Tomlinson Nursing Center.

She is survived by her two children and their spouses, David F. and Gina Voegtlin and Stacy and Scott Rains, all of Lawton; five grandchildren, Eric Voegtlin, Taylor Blackford and husband Shane, Haley Catlett and fiancé Justin Stevens, Macy Zwaan and Chloe Rains; five great grandchildren, Haven, Savannah, Carson, Shylan and Remington; and a nephew, Lars Bode.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ursula Bode.
