Funeral for former Walters resident Bartina Faye ( Wilson ) Peoples, 86, Catoosa will be at 1:30 PM Thursday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Dr. William F. Watkins officiating. Mrs. Peoples died Friday in Tulsa . Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born April 11, 1925 in Texas to Virgil and Iva Mae (Duck) Wilson. She married Clifford Peoples on January 12, 1941 in Walters. He died April 26, 1990. Mrs. Peoples was keenly interested in genealogy and had done extensive work on the Peoples, Duck, Wilson, Pinkerton, Bloxom and Dillahunty lines. She enjoyed going to movies, auctions and garage sales with her son, Jim. She leaves behind a son, Jim, granddaughters, Shelbe and Jayme, great grandsons, Dakota and Brody, nephews, Vernon and Buddy, and nieces, Pam and Sherry. She also leaves Jerri and Pat Winter, Carlene and Carrell Tallent and family, friends, Cheryll, Carroll, Linda and many others. She is preceded in death by, mother, Iva, stepdad, Vernon , father, Virgil,, stepmother, Dora, sister Pat and a niece, Ramona. She is also preceded by her husband, Clifford, sister-in-law, Ruby and brothers-in-law, Loyd and Ben.
