Funeral service for Barbra Jean Ellison, 81, Lawton will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Olivet Baptist Church, Lawton with Pastor George C. Malloy, Heaven Way Apostolic Church, Lawton officiating. Mrs. Ellison passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at her home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. She was born June 25, 1933 in a half-dugout in Dill City, Oklahoma to John Stewart and Candis Mae "Dolly" (Baker) Cain. She was one of seven children. She married MAJ (Retired) Robert D. Ellison on February 2, 1957 in Lawton. He passed away December 26, 2003. Barbra started working for the Vernon Company in 1975, was manager from 1983 until 1993 and was Senior Account Executive with over six million dollars in sales at the time of her death. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. "The Lord Was My Strength", my family, loving friends and my wonderful Vernon family of customers and friends were my joy. My grandchildren, great grandchildren and those of you I was blessed to be called Mom and Grandma have added so much to my life. She is survived by her three children, Mike Stephens and Debra of Mangum, OK, Jackie Ebisch and Billy of Lawton, Ok, Robert Ellison, Jr and Donna of Texas City, TX, a brother Donald Cain and Kathy of Eufaula, OK, a sister Elizabeth Newman and Jim of Cordell, OK, four grandchildren, Mike Heath and Vickie of Mascotte, FL, Damon Stephens and Nicka of Mangum, OK, Stacy Hamlett and Levi of Gotebo, OK, Tanicka Hill of Chicago, IL, thirteen great grandchildren, Alan Hamlett, Kyle Hamlett, Kayle Moore, Robert Stephens, Darrel James Stephens, Christian Stephens, Aiden Stephens, Taliyah Hill, Shyla Bailey, Miranda Zyks (Heath), Ciara Heath, Sebastian Zyks, Katie Rose Zyks and one great great grandson Roper Zane Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four siblings, Talmadge Cain, Colleen Flatt, Roy Eugene Cain and an infant sister Celestine Cain.
