Funeral service for Barbel H. Gerace will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Robert L. Quinnett, Jr., Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Lawton officiating.

Burial will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.

Barbel H. Gerace, 82, Lawton, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at her home.  She was born February 3, 1940 in Marienwerder, Germany to Arthur and Heltraut (Sulemma) Maschke.  She married MAJ (Retired) Samuel J. Gerace on May 12, 1967 in Munster, Germany. They were married for 55 years.  Barbel was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of the home, two sons, Sam R. Gerace of Plano, Texas, Stefan J. Gerace of Lawton, her granddaughter Isabel N. Gerace of Plano, Texas and two brothers, Joachim Maschke of Dusseldorf, Germany and Horst Maschke of Dorston, Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
