Funeral services for Barbara S. Schneider will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Delbert Hughes, Lighthouse Church of God, Lawton officiating.

Burial will be in the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Barbara S. Schneider, 78, Lawton passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in a Lawton hospital.  She was born March 20, 1940 in Berry, Alabama to James Howell and Gladys (Howton) Yerby.  She was a military wife, having married SFC (Retired) Herman E. Schneider on October 15, 1961 in Nebraska City, Nebraska.  He passed away January 6, 2010.  She had been a resident of Lawton since 1977.  She loved her church and God and her many friends and family.  She touched so many people's lives in the Lawton and Snyder communities.  She enjoyed eating, especially at Cracker Barrel and loved to crochet.

Survivors include her 4 children, Christy Pina and husband Gerald of Roosevelt, Oklahoma, Michelle Schneider of Snyder, Oklahoma, Rodney Schneider and wife D'esirae of Lawton, Gene Hart and wife Barbara of Camp Hill, Alabama, her brother Donald Yerby and wife Della of Enterprise, Mississippi, 6 grandchildren, Christopher Pina and wife McKaila of Arapaho, Oklahoma, Jason Pina of Houston, Texas, Melissa Hightower of Snyder, Oklahoma, Penelope Rose Schneider of Lawton, Jackie Hart and wife Kayla of Camp Hill, Alabama and Amon Hart of Camp Hill, Alabama.  She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren and dear family friends, the Presock Family of Lawton and Danny and Felecia Cox.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters and a brother.
