Funeral for Barbara L. Moore will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Bill Schneider, Pastor officiating.

Burial will follow in Letitia Cemetery, east of Lawton under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Barbara L. Moore died Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the age of 89 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on October 6, 1935 to August and Lina Ziegler.

She married Roy V. Moore on May 27, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They had two much-loved daughters, one who was adopted and one who was born to them eighteen months later.

Barbara worked for Southwestern Bell, was a cosmetologist for many years, and retired from the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughter, Lori Anderson and her husband David of Lawton, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews in Oklahoma, Texas, and Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Linda Hargrove, her parents, her siblings and their spouses, Louise Gutz and husband Norman, Margaret Buckendahl and husband Herbert, and brother August Ziegler.
