Graveside service for Annie M. Buxton, 80, Snyder will be at 2:00pm Wednesday in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder with Max E. Gunn, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Olustee, OK officiating. Annie went home to meet the Lord on December 4, 2010 at her home in Snyder. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Snyder. She was born September 15, 1930 in Soper, Oklahoma to James Isaac and Nancy Margaret (Corley) Enox. She attended school at Soper, and lived there until she married. She married Eugene St. Patrick Buxton on May 6, 1948 in Paris, TX. Eugene joined the Army and they traveled the world for the next twenty years. They lived at Fort Sill, Giessen, Germany, Fort Polk, LA, Fort Carson, CO, Stuttgart-Badconstadt, Germany, Fort Hood, TX, Tipton, OK and Snyder, OK. Annie was an avid seamstress who worked in that profession all her life and enjoyed sewing clothes for her children and grandchildren as they were growing up. She loved to fish, crochet and raise roses. The biggest joy of her life was when her kids visited her. Christmas and fishing season were her favorite times of the year. Annie was the glue that held her family together as she supported her husband while he served his country proudly for twenty years. She is survived by her husband Eugene of the Home, six children, 14 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and Numerous Nieces and nephews. Evelyn Buxton (Snyder) and children Cynthia Ann Powell (Choctaw) and child Shailee Renee Mohow (Choctaw) and Jason Dewayne Buxton (Snyder). She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Kenneth Perry Enox, James Quincy Enox, sister Opal Lea (Enox) Lansing, brother and sister who passed away in childhood, A.J. and Lizzie Bea.
