Obituary

Angelita "Angie" Rosario Butac joined our Lord Almighty, Tuesday afternoon, October 30, 2018, with family at her side.  She was a devoted wife, mother, auntie, sister and friend.

Requiem Mass for Angelita Rosario Butac, 49, will be at 12 noon, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rev. Philip Seeton, Pastor, officiating.  Burial follows at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma, under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, Lawton, OK.

Memorial Services and Rosary Prayer will be on Wednesday, November 7th at 6 pm, at the funeral home.  The family will visit with friends 4-6 pm and 7-9 pm.

Angelita was born in Calasiao, Pangasinan, Philippines in 1969.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lyceum University in the Philippines. After marrying Arsenio Butac in 1996, she lived a full life of a military spouse, completely supporting her husband Arsenio.  Amidst all military moves, field exercises, and deployments, she devoted her energies of becoming the ideal homemaker, raising two beautiful children, Alyssa and Raymond.

Angelita was a fun-loving person, full of happiness and had a sweetness about her that kept her young at heart. She was excited to do the simplest of things and hanging out with people she loved. She loved family gatherings and get-together with friends.  She loved to do gardening and cooking.  She was an inspiration, able to look at things with a positive attitude; and her resilience is exemplary, as she showed everyone to live life in the moment.

We will miss our dear Angelita.  She leaves us rich in memories and we will live our lives knowing she is watching over us. She will be always remembered as a caring and generous person whose greatest passion was helping others. She was an active member of the Filipino-American Association of Lawton-Fort Sill.

Survivors include: Husband Arsenio;  Daughter Alyssa; Son Raymond; mother Julita Samson Rosario; three brothers: Vincente and Fidel of Philippines, and Alfonso of New Zealand; two sisters-in- law:  Joan of Philippines, and Pinky of New Zealand; two nieces: Karissa and Beatrice; nephew Al-j;  and other uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews and nieces.  Angelita is predeceased by her loving father Orlando M. Rosario in 2008.
