Memorial service for Angela Varee Brown will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026, at Arena Cowboy Church, Lawton, Oklahoma with Pastor David McGhghy officiating.

Angela Varee Brown, 61, was born on July 6, 1964, in Milbank, South Dakota, to Earl and Aloy (Lambrechts) Birney. In July of 1981, the family moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma. She graduated from Ardmore High School, earned her cosmetology license, and worked as a beautician for a short time before transitioning to her life as a CNA, medication aide, and phlebotomist. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Gary Brown. Angela and Gary were married on October 24, 1988. They made their home in Ardmore, where they raised two sons, Joshua M. Wyatt and Ronald C. Brown.

Angela cherished the family trip to Broken Bow, Oklahoma-one of her most treasured memories. It was the last time the entire family was together, and she delighted in creating beautiful, joyful moments with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Whether they were mining for gold, visiting the petting zoo, or sitting around the campfire in the evenings, Angela soaked in every second of being surrounded by her big, beautiful family. She especially loved camping with her grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life. Angela also found great joy in traveling. She shared a memorable trip to Las Vegas with her parents, where she experienced a helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon and enjoyed a champagne lunch. Another year, she set sail on a cruise to Jamaica and Mexico, embracing every moment of the adventure. A beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, as well as a loving and devoted wife. Angela embraced life wholeheartedly. She was full of love and faith and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Angela is survived by her two sons: Joshua and Jessica (Stewart) Wyatt, and Ronald and Madison (Richards) Brown, all of Lawton, Oklahoma; her parents, Earl and Aloy (Lambrechts) Birney of Lawton, Oklahoma; her brother, Timothy and Misty (Courtney) Birney of Festus, Missouri; and her two sisters, Earlene (Birney) Graham and husband Ernest of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Dawn (Birney) McCammon of Lawton, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Keylynn, Keith, Natalie, HarleeAnn, A'myrakle, Loyaltee, Hazel Grace, Gabriel, and Victorie; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Brown, and her grandson, Kreed.
