Age 84, Lawton - Memorial mass will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Joseph R. Ross, Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Ashby died Thursday in Lawton. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel. She was born February 6, 1924 near Megargel, Texas, to Frank and Mary Kulhanek Moravec. She went to school in Megargel, Round Timber and Westover, Texas. She was married on December 31, 1949 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She went to work at the Sheppard Air Force Exchange and continued working in several exchange services before coming to Fort Sill where she retired after 23 years of service in March of 1979. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a charter member of the Lawton Iris Society. She is survived by a sister, Sister Marcella Marie Moravec, Lisle, Illinois; two nieces, Teresa Franklin and Ranee Abbe, both of Sherman, Texas; a nephew, Mike Moravec, Sherman, Texas.
