Funeral service for Angel R. Sanchez will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Metcalf officiating.

The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Angel R. Sanchez, age 68, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in Lawton.  He was born November 11, 1947 in Cayey, Puerto Rico to Francisco and Doroteã Sanchez.  Angel moved to Lawton when his father was stationed at Fort Sill.  He attended area schools and his high school years were spent at both Eisenhower and also at Lawton High School where he graduated.  He married Lianne M. Richards on February 21, 1968 at Fort Sill.

Angel worked as a mechanic for OTASCO for twenty years and was later self employed.  He enjoyed fishing and old cars.  He enjoyed drinking coffee, shooting the bull with his friends, tinkering and telling bad jokes.

He is survived by his wife Lianne, of the home; four children and their spouses, Tanya and Sean Scott, Antonio Sanchez, Angela and Patrick Fremin and Angel Cristobal and Kara Sanchez; seventeen grandchildren, Dylan, Gabrielle, Samantha, Preston, Raelynn, Konar, Katie, Hannah, Haydin, Tripp, Brittany, James, Alyssa, Patrick, Brynlee, Angel Lei and Veda; one great grandchild on the way; three sisters, Gloria Weinberg, Olga Gannaway and Sonia Sanchez; his coffee buddies, Jose, Jimmy, Odell, Jake, Tommy, Joe and Susan; and his loving dogs, Tinkerbell and Alexandria.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
