Graveside service for former Lawton resident Alvin Glenn "Al" Miller, 82, Stephenville, Texas will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 27, 2015 at Highland Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Erwin, pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church, Elgin officiating. Mr. Miller died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in Stephenville. Burial with military honors will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. He was born December 5, 1932 in McPherson, Kansas to Glenn and Grace Opal (McConkey) Miller. His grandparents were Lawton natives. Mr. Miller served in the Army for three years. He worked as a technical writer for a national defense company. Mr. Miller was a ham radio operator for many years, an avid genealogist and a relic and arrowhead hunter. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his step mother, Blanche Miller, Lawton, other relatives, Jerry Miller, David Miller and Danny Miller, all of Elgin and additional friends and family in the Lawton and Stephenville, Texas areas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
