Age 85, Snyder - Funeral services will be at 10:30am Tuesday in the Calvary Community Church, Snyder with Emmett Hayslip, Mountain Park officiating. Mrs. Poteet died Friday in a Lawton hospital. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Snyder. She was born June 3, 1925 in Cold Springs, Oklahoma to Jarette and Ferne (Penn) Wynns. She graduated from Snyder High School in 1943. She married Jack Sullivan Poteet on November 16, 1946 in San Francisco, California. He died May 18, 2004. She lived most of her life in the Snyder area except for a fifteen year period she spent in California. She attended the Calvary Community Church in Snyder. She is survived by two sons, Charles J. Poteet of Dallas, TX, Tracy Poteet and his wife Brenda of Grand Prairie, TX and four grandchildren, Jesse, Matthew, Rebecca and Aletha.
