Memorial service for Allene Bilbrey Grigg, 83, Lawton, will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Patrick Latham, Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Grigg died Saturday October 24, 2015 at a local care facility. Private interment will be Tuesday morning at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Allene was born August 27, 1932 in Electra, Texas, to Allen J. and Clarice (Putnam) Bilbrey. She received her Bachelor's degree in Home Economics from Oklahoma College for Women, Chickasha. She was employed by Public Service as a Home Demonstration Specialist, and later taught at Cameron State Junior College. She married Jasper C. Grigg in Lawton on June 18, 1954. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2011. Allene was a longtime member of First Baptist Church where she taught Bible classes and was a member of the Anne Dwyer Missionary Circle. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Alece and Jack Newell, Lawton; her son and daughter in law, Jay and Stephanie Millen Grigg, Lawton; 6 grandchildren, Michael Wade and wife Traci Harmon Newell, Lori Michelle Newell, Kathleen Southall Berg and husband Robert Berg, James Frank Grigg, Brian Carter Grigg and his fiancée Amber Fogus, and Mckenzie Rae Grigg; 3 great grandchildren, Harmon Wade Newell, Madeline Faith Berg and EmmaGrace Berg; and an honorary daughter, Ingrid Ligett and husband Stan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jasper C. Grigg and a sister, Ava Joyce Butts. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 501 SW B Avenue, Lawton, Oklahoma.
