Word had been received of the death of longtime Lawton and Lake Jackson, Texas resident Alice V. Rooker. Mrs. Rooker died Sunday, June 3, 2012 in Lawton. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born January 21, 1925 in Portsmouth Township, Michigan to Anthony and Anastasia (Meyer) Kasprzwk. Due to the death of her parents, she was adopted at the age of 6 by Lawrence and Lotie Jankowski. She married Clarence Thomas Rooker on October 13, 1945 in Bay City, Michigan. He died May 10, 2004. Survivors include five sons and their spouses, Rob and Shelia Rooker, Lawton, Tom and Jane Rooker, Raleigh, North Carolina, Mitchel and Sharon Rooker, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, John and Teresa Rooker, Lake Jackson, Texas and Jim and Debbie Rooker, Amarillo, Texas, thirteen grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and two nieces, Judy and Mary, both of Bay City, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, adopted parents, a brother, Tony, a sister, Jean and a great grandchild, Luke Rooker. Many thanks to the warm tenderness that the care givers at McMahon Tomlinson Nursing Center and Ten Oaks Retirement Community showed Mom in helping to keep a high quality of life.
