Funeral service for Alfreida Smith will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Letitia Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Kelly officiating.

Burial will follow in Letitia Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Alfreida Smith, 90, Letitia community, went to her home in heaven on Saturday, March 11, 2017.  She was born January 16, 1927 in the Faxon community to Alfred and Mildred (Ward) Woodall.  She was raised in the Faxon community and moved to the Letitia community in the fall of 1943.  She graduated from Central High in 1944.  She became a member of the Letitia Baptist Church soon after moving there in 1943.  Her life has been lived for Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  In February 1945 she married Harrel Smith.  They spent 72 years together.  Everything that Harrel has ever been involved with she was always a part of, such as farming and running Pumpkin Center Store, Smith's Construction and Real Estate, Bucking S Rodeo Co. and Greyhound racing.  At the same time, she was a Sunday school teacher, song leader and anything else she could do for the church. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Harrel of the home, first born son Alfred and wife Brenda; granddaughter Kandi Wright and husband J.D.; great grandchildren Jordon, Summer, Dillon, Tanner and wife Krissie; granddaughter Kelly Smith and husband Ronnie; great grandchildren Payton Aubree.  Second born son Doug and wife Sally; granddaughter LaDonna Earnhart and husband Steve; great grandchildren Dylan, Madison and husband Darren Kaus with great-great grandson Conner; grandson Lance Smith and wife Kim; great grandchildren Shelbi and Chance; granddaughter Jennifer Rankin and husband Jason; great grandchildren Tysen, Jacksen and Karsen; third born son Steve and wife Mary; grandson Chad Smith and wife Jessica; great grandchildren Jacob, Caleb, and Gunner; granddaughter Tanya Abbott and husband Les; great grandchildren Cole, Landen and Zac, granddaughter Amber Myers and husband Austin; a sister-in-law Eva Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends Derrel and Helen Bruce.

Alfreida was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Mildred Woodall, a sister Maxine and her husband Chester Hinson, two half brothers-in-law, Roy Bentley and wife Connie and R.D. Bentley and wife Margie, sister-in-law Melba and husband Floyd, brother-in-law Bill and wife Jean, sister-in-law Jerry and husband George, brother-in-law Don and wife Hanna and a brother-in-law Carter.
