Age 50, Lawton - Services will be 1:30 PM Monday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Trinidad Zamora, Deacon, Temple of Adoration, Littlefield, Texas, officiating. Mr. Benavides died Friday at his home. He was born on January 13, 1959 in Seguin, Texas to Cecilio R. and Lilia S. (Zamora) Benavides. He was a very skilled carpenter and did many remodeling jobs in Lawton. He was also very artistic, especially in drawing. Survivors include his mother of Wichita, Kansas; three children, Stephen Benavides, Samual Benavides and Starr Morales and her husband, Joel, all of Lansing, Michigan; eight siblings, Catherine Zamora and her husband, Felipe, of Grand Prairie, Texas, Teresa DeLong of Jackson, Michigan, Gloria Hidalgo and her husband, Jesus, of Wichita, Kansas, Roy Benavides and his wife, Kathy, of Lawton, Genaro Benavides and his wife, Gloria, of Lansing, Michigan, Dora Applegarth and her husband, Donald, of Kentucky, Epifania Cragg of Chickasha, and Anita Martinez of Grand Ledge, Michigan; four grandchildren and 27 nieces and nephews. His father, a brother, Alfredo Benavides, and a niece, Sonia Alvarado, preceded him in death.
