He grew up in Mexico and graduated from Instituto Politecnico Nacional University with a bachelor's degree in marketing. In 1974, he began his career at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Mexico City, working in the purchasing department. The following year, on January 15, 1975, he married Rita Delgadillo Valencia, beginning a journey of love and commitment that would span nearly five decades.

Following the closure of the Goodyear plant in Mexico City, Adan relocated with his family to Lawton, Oklahoma, in 2002, where he continued to work in purchasing at the Goodyear plant there. His career with Goodyear spanned an impressive 47 years, a testament to his loyalty, skill, and dedication to his work.

Outside of his professional life, Adan had a range of interests that kept him active and engaged. He was an accomplished racquetball player and enjoyed hiking in his younger years.
