1SG (Retired) James W. Rendall, 73, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home north of Lawton on Monday, March 24, 2025. He was born December 17, 1951, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to Charles and Gladys (Fleischmann) Rendall. James grew up in Waukesha, but in January 1969, at the age of 17, he left home and spent several years traveling and exploring life. At 22, James enlisted in the United States Army on January 14, 1974, embarking on a distinguished 21-year military career until his retirement on March 1, 1995. While stationed in Seoul, South Korea, James met Ae Kyung Kim, the love of his life. They married on August 20, 1979, and built a life together filled with love and dedication. Following his retirement from the Army, James pursued his passion for music and entertainment by starting his own business, Klassic Karaoke, which he successfully ran for 14 years until health concerns led him to retire.
In 2019, James and Ae fulfilled their dream of purchasing a peaceful four-acre property north of Lawton, surrounded by trees and tranquility. He loved listening to classic country and rock and roll music, watching all kinds of movies, and working with his hands as a skilled handyman and builder.
James will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his love of music, and his passion for creating and fixing things.
James is survived by his wife of the home, two sons, Robert Rendall and wife Robin of Lawton, Oklahoma, Jason Rendall of Waukesha, Wisconsin, one daughter, Jennifer Behrens and husband Michael of Waukesha, Wisconsin, seven grandchildren, Amylee, Alyssa, Kyler, Jordan, DaCora, Dominick, and Angelica, sister, Judy Burchet of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
James is preceded in death by his parents, son, Christopher James Rendal, brother, Charles Rendall, and brother-in-law, Steve Burchet.
