1SG (Retired) Henry S. Rosenberg, age 78, died Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Henry "Hank" Rosenberg graduated high school in 1966 from Baltimore City College Prep School and later attended the University of Maryland. He devoted twenty-three years to a life of service in the United States Army. He lived his life by the motto "All for One."

Following his military service, Henry built a diverse and meaningful career, working for Dillard's, Goodwill, and GEO Correctional Facilities. He was an active member of the Northeast Lawton Lions Club, the Frankoma Family Pottery Club, and generously gave his time as a Boy Scout leader.

Henry also had a passion for travel and explored many parts of the world. On August 8, 2009, he fulfilled a lifelong dream when he and his wife, Kathy, attended the Bonneville Speed Races in Utah. For 28 years, he was also known as a faithful friend of Bill.

Henry had a deep love for history, particularly in tracing his family roots-a passion he pursued for more than fifteen years. He often said, "The past is why we are here today," a reflection of the perspective he carried throughout his life.

On April 17, 2001, he married Kathryn Grace Gensman at Fort Sill, and together they made their home in Lawton. Thank you for twenty-five and a half years of love.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Rosenberg of the home; children: Mike Rosenberg and wife Lisa of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; David Rosenberg of Marlow, Oklahoma; Heather Legas and husband Nick of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Mendy Shaw and husband Barrymore of Lawton, Oklahoma; and Kevin Jacobs of Lawton, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his beloved pets, Amos and Patty; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; his sisters, Gee Edrington and husband Tommy of Baltimore, Maryland and Sylvia Miller and husband Ed of Miami, Florida; along with other family members and a special friend, Betty.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one great-grandson, and his dogs, Stubby and Midnight, who were always by his side and loved to help him drive.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to a local animal shelter of your choice.
