Funeral Mass for Dr. William A. Corrales, 84, Lawton, will be at noon Wednesday in the Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Philip Seeton, pastor officiating.
Dr. Corrales died Thursday, March 8, in Lawton.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Dr. Corrales was born February 27, 1928 in Lawton to Joseph Alfred and Gladys (Hall) Corrales. He had served in the U.S. Navy and was a graduate of the University of Nebraska and would later earn his master’s in education from the University of Oklahoma. He married Marzelle Milliner on August 25, 1951 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. They spent their married life in Lincoln, Nebraska, Pauls Valley and Lawton.
Dr. Corrales practiced dentistry in Pauls Valley for two months before beginning his practice in Lawton in 1954. He retired in 2007 after 53 years. He is a life member of the American Dental Association and the Oklahoma Dental Association. He is a past president of the South Central Society of the Oklahoma Dental Association, past board member for the Cameron Campus Ministry, a life member third degree of the Knights of Columbus, a past grand knight and life member fourth degree of the Knights of Columbus, a past faithful navigator, the regional coordinator of the Association of Christian Therapist and a certified spiritual director.
He is a charter member of Holy Family Catholic Church and had been awarded the Papal Medal “Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice” along with a Pontifical blessing.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; seven children and their spouses, Kathy Franklin, Lawton, Joseph and Shirley Corrales, Atkins, Texas, Art and Nancy Corrales, Wagoner, Oklahoma, Alan and Rosanna Corrales, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Mark and Laura Corrales, Lawton, Theresa and George Young, Lawton, and Anne Michelle Corrales, Dallas, Texas; 17 grandchildren, Ted, Kristen, Katie, Jason, Brandy, Candi, Heath, Randy, Charity, Andy, Brittany, Seth, Alex, Sayre, Jessica, Megan, and Amanda; 11 great grandchildren.
Two brothers, Arthur Joseph and James Michael Corrales preceded him in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church or Cameron Campus Ministry.
The family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
