Justina 'Dustie' Ellison

March 13, 1976 - November 16, 2011

Biography

A private Memorial service for Justina “Dustie” Ellison, 35, Lawton, will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Justina “Dustie” Ellison was born March 13, 1976 in Dallas, Texas and died of a broken heart following a lengthy illness on November 16, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Dustie’s life mission was to love people well and she would literally give the coat off her back. She was the ultimate friend and Good Samaritan often spending her last cent to help a neighbor. She was passionate about sharing her love of Christ with others and loved to sing in church. She always had a smile, bringing her own unique joy to others. She was blessed with a diverse group of friends who became her family and she easily won the hearts of all who knew her. She profoundly touched the lives of those around her and her influence will be felt far into the future.
She will be greatly missed, but we rejoice in the knowledge that she has been healed completely and made whole; we eagerly wait for the day when we will be reunited with Dustie in the presence of our Father.
She is survived by her most precious treasure, the joy of her life, her daughter, Riley Shannon Ellison, Converse, Texas; her companion and caregiver, Emily Beadles, Lawton, Oklahoma; her brother, Hank Knoll, Lovington, New Mexico; her surrogate mother, Starla Akers, Lovington, NM; her mother, Karen Villareal, Lubbock, Texas; 2 brothers, Joe Villareal and Phillip Ellison, both of Lubbock, TX; and a group of friends too numerous to list who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Adele Coleman and her grandfather, Robert Coleman, from whom she drew great strength and the nickname “Dustie Rose”.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
