Funeral service for Berlin “Buz” Buzbee, 95, Lawton, will be 10:00 am Monday at The Church of God with Rev. J.O. Howard, Pastor, officiating.
Mr. Buzbee died Wednesday in a local care center.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
The family will greet friends on Sunday from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
“Buz” was born on September 12, 1916 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to Roland Webster and Anna Parilee (Noricks) Buzbee. He moved from Arkansas to Oklahoma with his parents in a covered wagon. He married Marie Ivy Eubanks on September 3, 1936 in Walters, Oklahoma. She died September 21, 2006. “Buz” had been employed by Boeing Aircraft, Ozmun Wholesale Company, Lawton Meat Market and retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in 1979. After his retirement he spent his days farming and raising cattle. In 2004 they sold their farm in Marlow and moved to Lawton. In 2007 he became a resident at Willow Park Health Care Center where he was loved and cared for by many.
He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Colene and Jim Goodman, Glenpool, Oklahoma, Daphene and Buddy Lee, Salina, Kansas and Emmelene Roland, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Gene and Joan Buzbee, Marlow, Oklahoma and Larry Don and Leah Buzbee, Waggoner, Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 36 great-great grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marie; and a son in law, Dale Roland.
