Biography
Age 75, Lawton - Funeral services will be 9:30 AM Thursday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Fincher, Olivet Baptist Church officiating.
Mr. Hamula died Sunday in Lawton.
Burial with full military honors will be in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
He was born September 27, 1934 in Conemaugh, Pennsylvania to Wasil and Mary (Pekara) Hamula. He married Beatrice V. Silk on October 1, 1952 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Mr. Hamula served two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea. He retired from the Army in 1972. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of the home, seven children and their spouses, Barbara Landrum, Ardmore, Frank C. and Jennifer Hamula, Cotopaxi, Colorado, Edward and Patricia Hamula, Duncan, Clifford Hamula, Amarillo, Texas, William and Joy Hamula, Norman, Burt Hamula, Van Alstyne, Texas and John and Toni Hamula, Amarillo, several grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a twin sister, Mary Schilling and her husband Bernard and a brother, George Hamula and his wife Veronica, all of Pennsylvania.
He is preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
