Biography

Age 88, Lawton - Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Leonard Reimer, Promise Care Chaplain, officiating.
Mr. Dumas died Friday at his home.
Burial will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home.
He was born in Denison, Texas on July 21, 1921. He joined the Army at age 17 and served in World War II. He was discharged in 1952 and started working civil service for the Finance Department until his retirement in 1972. He married Dorthy Lenora Ward on July 5, 1950 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They moved to Colorado in 1973 where they remained until October of 2007 when they returned to Lawton. They were living at the Brookridge Retirement and Assisted Living Center.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; a sister-in-law, Vesta Roberts; a brother-in-law and his wife, Leroy and Marie Ward of Abilene, Texas; a niece, Darla Roberson Van Schlars; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
